Restaurant Review: Air France (SFO to CDG)

Ok, so not really a restaurant per-se, but in case anyone wonders about the food on Air France flights from SFO to CDG, here ya go!

Dinner!  Sorry for the blurry photo.
Air France served us dinner and breakfast.  The dinner had a couple of choices, and Mary and I tried two: some sort of tomato pasta dish, and beef with mushroom sauce.

Sounds like mystery meat, eh?  But you might be surprised to hear that the food was quite good!  Both trays were absolutely loaded--well beyond stereotypical "American portions".  Both dishes came with a small slice of fruit upside-down cake, a surprisingly good pasta salad, a french roll, cheese, and apple sauce,   Stewwardesses wandered the aisles repeatedly handing out additional rolls, tea, and coffee (a nice touch).

Breakfast.
Alcoholic drinks were likewise free--something we both took advantage of.  The wine was standard airline fare, but I appreciated Air France not nickel-and-dimeing me.  Any more, I mean.

Breakfast was a light plate of bread, fruit, cheese, and juice.  Nothing to write home about, but more than adequate.  Overall, the Air France food was a step up from what I've been served flying cross-country in the US.
